Dr. Myers, DVM

Dr. Bernard Myers is our great relief vet that fills in when Dr. Palm is away. He graduated from Cornell University in 1974. Believe it or not Dr. Myers built and was the original owner of HVC. He also gave Dr. Palm his first job right out of vet school. He is originally from florida and as a young boy he use to raise guinea pigs. He loves saving animals, spending family time together, reading, and loves to eat. He is a wealth of knowledge that we love having with us.

Nicolle

If you don't know already, Pepper-Ann is my pomeranian & love of my life. She is my only child & I take her everywhere with me. If you see me at the clinic, most likely she is roaming the hallways nearby. She is the 8th staff member - her position, "The Greeter." Now that you know the most important part of me, I have been a staff member since 2005. As a Veterinary Technician and occasional Receptionist, I find myself smiling, laughing, crying & and enjoying every moment at my job. When I am not at HVC, I am on stage performing downtown at Stardust Lounge where my creativity & crazy silly personality emerges. My motto is "why go through life unnoticed." One interesting fact about me: Born in Keflavik, Iceland. Can't you tell?!

Juan

Hey everyone, my name is Juan Perez, and I have been working for HVC since August 2010, but I’ve been working in this field since 2002. I’m originally from the Bronx, N.Y. and that’s where I learned a lot about animals and the field itself. I also love to draw and have started my own little project in the boarding facility here. I have a very strong passion and respect for pit bulls; this is why I own three. My goal is to run a pit bull rescue so I can help this misunderstood breed. I come to work every day with a positive attitude because, although I’m not a veterinarian, I feel as if I make life a little better for the animals in general. I love this job and work very hard at it because working in this field has made me respect the little things about animals that a lot of people don’t notice. I want to further my knowledge of animals so that one day I can become a veterinarian.

Izaak

Hi, I’m Izaak. I’m still relatively new here, and started at the start of August 2016. I started off my career in the animal field by volunteering here at the clinic for about a year. Animals have always been a major factor in my life since I was a young child, and I have always wanted to help them be free of pain and fear. I’m currently a senior in high school. I am also working towards becoming a Certified Veterinary Assistant. Outside of work I enjoy reading, writing, cooking, and playing games.

Maria

Hi, I’m Maria! I’m new to the clinic, but have been a client of Dr. Palm’s for a few years. Animals have been a huge part of my life since I was a child, and I’ve always had the desire to help them in any way I can. After trying out a few other careers, I’ve gone back to school to become a Veterinary Technician and am so happy to be working here in reception! I have a pit bull mix named Lola whom I love with all of my heart. Outside of animals, I enjoy writing, yoga, and music.
